About Kimberly – Who Says Series
AUTHOR BIO
I love to sing, play the piano, a little guitar, travel, cook, and of course, write books! I speak English and Spanish and American Sign Language. I’ve always had a knack for rhyming so I thought I’d put it to the test as I began my new adventure.
It’s fun and challenging, but what a blast it is to create an entertaining, positive message in a catchy story for children!
I am writing a series of picture books and my greatest hope is to reach as many children as I can to give them a much needed encouraging lift to all of life’s little ‘glitches’ along the way!
Hi! I’m Kimberly Waters. I’m excited to share a little about myself and let you know how and why I became an author! I was born in Tucson, Arizona, but I’ve also lived in Texas, Washington, Missouri, and Colorado.
I graduated from Arvada High School in Colorado and moved to Utah to attend and graduate from Brigham Young University. I earned my degrees in Elementary Education, Special Ed, later adding a bilingual certificate.
Eventually, I received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and taught for 36 years, retiring in 2019.
I’m married to my best friend, Duane, and have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
My favorite pastime is helping students to succeed. Even though I am RETIRED from teaching, it doesn’t mean I’m TIRED of teaching!
I spend a couple days per week as a substitute and other days creating more stories for my series.
